Outside Sales Representative
Connecticut & Eastern Upstate New York

Role Description

We’re seeking a driven and relationship-focused Outside Sales Representative to join our team covering Connecticut and Eastern Upstate New York. We seek someone highly organized with exceptional follow-up skills — customer care is our highest priority.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building meaningful relationships, enjoys the independence of running their own territory, and takes ownership of driving results. You’ll have the opportunity to grow a meaningful sector of our business by developing strong partnerships with our customers, vendor partners and the residential design/build community.

The ideal candidate understands how to represent and sell luxury technology solutions with a focus on lighting and shades — someone who can confidently present premium brands and articulate their value, not simply their price. We’re looking for a motivated, entrepreneurial professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional experiences and growing a territory like it’s their own business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with dealers, integrators, and design/build professionals within the territory.
  • Execute weekly in-person meetings to stay in front of customers, strengthen relationships, and drive business growth. Weekly account visitation is required.
  • Represent Strateres and vendor partners at trade shows, trainings, events, and evening functions.
  • Educate partners on the value of intelligent lighting and automated shading solutions
  • Coordinate and host vendor visits, trainings, and regional product events.
  • Manage and coordinate travel and scheduling to ensure consistent field presence.
  • Consistently update company CRM
  • Collaborate closely with internal team members and vendor partners to align strategies and achieve territory goals.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in sales, account management, or a customer-facing role.
  • Experience and passion for lighting control, motorized shades, custom audio/video, and connected home technology strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in luxury lighting and shading by prioritizing design excellence, client experience, and lasting value.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Strong self-management and time-management abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools, Microsoft 365, and presentation platforms.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
